A Chemicals and Waste briefing focusing on preparations for the Second meeting of the Intersessional Process for considering SAICM and the sound management of chemicals and waste beyond 2020 took place on Monday 26 February, at the International Environment House II. The event provided an overview of the main milestones for the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions in 2018 and an update on the Special Programme on the strengthening at the national level for implementation of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, the Minamata convention and SAICM.
